About the position

The Head of High Lift at Airbus Americas, Inc. is responsible for leading the In-Service Repair organization in Wichita, Kansas. This role involves overseeing the performance of the Propulse Daily Repairs team, managing In-Service Queries (ISQ's), and ensuring operational excellence while promoting continuous improvement and innovation. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to meet performance targets and develop team members through training and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Propulse Daily Repairs team at a functional and operational level.
• Manage In-Service Queries (ISQ's) and ensure on-time delivery and quality.
• Promote continuous improvement and support innovations as directed by the Head of Customer Service Engineering.
• Conduct performance evaluations and career development for team members.
• Ensure operational performance aligns with departmental objectives and targets.
• Facilitate internal training and mentoring in collaboration with Skill Leaders.
• Manage supplier activities and quality checks for ISQ operations.
• Participate in Propulse Daily Repair meetings as the team representative.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Engineering (Aero, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) with a focus on structural design and analysis.
• 12+ years of experience in airframe engineering projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and G-Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
• Ability to work in a dynamic team environment and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written).

Nice-to-haves

• Proficiency in Spanish.
• Experience with CATIA workbenches.
