About the position

The Head of Infrastructure & Data Engineering at XSELL Technologies is a leadership role focused on overseeing the architecture, design, and implementation of infrastructure and data engineering projects. This position is crucial for supporting the company's strategy through cloud migrations, data pipeline management, and scaling Kubernetes infrastructure. The role requires collaboration with various teams to ensure smooth operations and drive the strategic vision for enterprise business intelligence and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Lead transformational projects, overseeing architecture, design, implementation, costs, and support.
• Ensure smooth operations through problem management, change management, and continuous improvement.
• Drive the strategic vision for enterprise BI and analytics, collaborating with senior leadership.
• Develop and implement roadmaps for analytics, data governance, and business intelligence.
• Oversee data-related projects and collaborate with business leaders to define technology needs.
• Set enterprise architecture strategies and ensure governance through the Architecture Review Board.
• Establish best practices for data management, security, and governance.
• Stay current on emerging technologies to drive future data and infrastructure improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Expertise with Kubernetes and AWS (EKS, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, KMS).
• Expertise with Snowflake and data engineering solutions, ETL processes, data processing.
• Knowledge and experience using integration tools & technologies to migrate diverse & complex systems & applications from on-prem to the Cloud, including development, testing, configuration, deployment & monitoring.
• Optimization and infra cost-management experience, driving down cloud spend across environments.
• Proven leadership in managing infrastructure and data engineering teams in cloud environments.
• Strong programming skills (Python, Bash, Terraform, etc.) and experience with agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication and ability to present technical concepts to both IT and business stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience building automation for cloud environments using tools such as Cloudformation, Terraform & Ansible.
• Strong understanding & experience with architecture and design, including utilizing Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, GitHub actions, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to work with & lead activities of a diverse professional & technical staff, including off-shore vendors.
