About the position

The Head of Marsh and Mercer FP&A will lead the Corporate Finance teams for Marsh and Mercer, providing strategic direction and analytical insights to support financial commitments. This role involves close collaboration with CFOs and other senior executives to ensure robust financial performance reporting and strategic planning in a complex global environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Marsh Mercer Corporate FP&A team and liaise with Marsh CFO, Mercer CFO, MMC CFO, and Regional FP&A teams globally.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Marsh CFO, Mercer CFO, International CFO, and Regional CFOs.
  • Report, analyze, and explain Marsh & Mercer financial performance to Executive Committees and MMC Corporate.
  • Collaborate with MMC Corporate FP&A teams and the Strategic Insights Group.
  • Own the Rolling Forecast and Budget process for Marsh & Mercer, identifying opportunities and risks.
  • Lead long-range strategic analysis and budget target setting in collaboration with MMC Corporate and Regional FP&A teams.
  • Participate in capital allocation processes and perform portfolio and client-level profitability analytics.
  • Provide financial consulting and strategic support to senior management, including analyses of key initiatives and M&A implications.
  • Ensure robust Financial and Operational KPIs are provided to the business, coordinating the collection of performance indicators and analyzing variances.
  • Present and explain financial results at management meetings when needed.
  • Prepare sensitive and confidential analyses as directed by CEOs or CFOs.
  • Champion finance transformation and develop talent, supporting early-in-career programs.
  • Prepare board presentations, financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, and client profitability analysis.

Requirements

  • 15 years of Corporate Finance experience.
  • Experience in professional services and financial services.
  • Experience presenting financial results and forecasts to senior executives.
  • Experience running strategic planning and budgeting/forecasting processes globally in a complex matrix organization.
  • Financial and performance analysis expertise.
  • Expertise in change and process management.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience leading global teams.
