About the position

The Head of PE, Sports, and ECAs at the Metropolitan School of Panama is responsible for leading and managing the Physical Education Faculty, overseeing the development and implementation of physical education programs, sports initiatives, and extracurricular activities. This role requires an outstanding leader who inspires and develops staff while fostering a positive environment for student growth in physical, social, and emotional aspects.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and organize the Physical Education Faculty.
• Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of physical education programs.
• Organize and develop sports and extracurricular activities at all levels across the school.
• Inspire and enable staff to achieve their best in teaching and coaching.
• Foster a positive environment for student engagement in physical activities.

Requirements

• A university degree and a teaching qualification.
• Relevant experience in an international school setting.
• Proven record of successful leadership at a middle-level.
• Ability to work as part of a dynamic team.
• A positive, 'can do' attitude.

Nice-to-haves

• A Master's degree in the field.
• Experience in multicultural or international school environments.
• Proven ability to expand and diversify extracurricular offerings.
• Expertise in developing and evaluating PE and ECA curricula.
• Proficiency in coaching multiple sports and training both students and staff.
• Knowledge of ISAMs and Microsoft Office 365.
