About the position

The Head of People & Culture at Urenco USA is responsible for leading all aspects of Human Resources at the site level, focusing on developing and implementing strategies that align with the company's goals and values. This role involves managing various HR disciplines, including recruitment, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and compliance, while fostering a culture that positions Urenco as an employer of choice in the nuclear energy sector.

Responsibilities

  • Provide site leadership in all aspects of Human Resources.
  • Develop and implement employer of choice strategies.
  • Manage site-level HR disciplines including employment, employee relations, and compensation.
  • Oversee recruitment efforts and college recruiting initiatives.
  • Lead new employee orientation and manage the internship program.
  • Ensure compliance with EEO and affirmative action regulations.
  • Develop and implement performance management programs.
  • Oversee benefits administration and ensure programs are cost-effective.
  • Collaborate with site leadership on HR issues and provide guidance on complex matters.
  • Monitor HR metrics and review departmental efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) from an accredited college or university.
  • Eight years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience, with at least three years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in recruitment, coaching, consulting, and compensation.
  • Demonstrated experience in HR transformation and modernization.
  • Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or Business from an accredited institution.
  • PHR or SPHR Certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Ten years of HR experience with leadership emphasis.
