About the position

The Head of Performance & Analytics Product Management is responsible for driving strategy, quality and commercialization of existing and new performance analytics products. State Street's product office is responsible for continuous product innovation and platform modernization and requires experienced leaders in product management to engage across the organization and ensure delivery against milestones towards target state. The candidate will manage a small team of subject matter experts covering the Americas and will engage with internal and external clients to fully understand the market, competitive landscape, trends, and business needs. The candidate should possess strong performance analytics subject matter expertise, excellent communication skills, and consultative sale proficiency to construct solutions and drive revenue through new product concepts from evaluation to production. The role reports to the Performance & Risk Analytics Global Product Executive.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the marketplace for competitive positioning and drive innovation through new product exploration.
  • Drive performance and analytics new business process including deal pricing, RFP responses, presentations, and develop sales materials to drive revenue growth.
  • Partner with related products across our fund administration and risk analytics suite to promote a holistic solution for our clients.
  • Build and maintain vendor partner relationships and support the vendor management process.
  • Responsible for the full life cycle management of the product suite including design and oversight, product prioritization, business case development and tracking, marketing ROI and decision to replace and/or terminate products.
  • Generate new products by introducing new ideas and enhancing existing products, including modelling product financials, new business governance framework, and developing sales materials to deliver expected revenue growth from the new product creation process.
  • Actively participate in speaking engagements at industry events, promoting our brand through thought leadership.
  • Act as subject matter expert with respect to the product suite and remain close to the customer segments through client interaction to assure satisfaction and relevance of the product to customers evolving needs.
  • Develop key global relationships, both internally and externally, to continue advancement of our product suite.
  • Collaborate with sales, client relationship, and finance during the sales process to deliver high quality and compelling client proposals in order to win new business mandates.
  • Communication of product strategy, including market requirements and opportunities to both internal and external audiences.
  • Participate in internal sales and product development working groups.

Requirements

  • CFA or CIPM preferred
  • 15+ years of related experience (consulting, investment analytics, solution sales)
  • Performance & analytics background (operations, client service, product)
  • Strong team leadership and management skills

  • Track record of engagement with complex clients, solutioning operating models and translating requirements into feature function capability for State Street platforms
  • Ability to travel for client meetings, industry events or to other State Street locations up to 30% of the time
