In October 2020, InvaGen established its project site in Fall River, Massachusetts to support the launch of Cipla's respiratory business in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies and optimize supply chain performance in alignment with Global procurement and with company objectives.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and ensure the on-time delivery of high-quality products and services.
- Ensure procurement activities adhere to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies to make informed decisions and adapt procurement strategies as needed.
- Oversee the procurement budget, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including global procurement, R&D, manufacturing, quality assurance, supply planning and finance teams.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of procurement experience within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices and supply chain management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to handle ambiguity, strategic thinking and decision making.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, MSOffice, SAP.
Nice-to-haves
- An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) are preferred.
