The company was founded in 2003 and is based in Central Islip and Hauppauge, New York. In October 2020, InvaGen established its project site in Fall River, Massachusetts to support the launch of Cipla's respiratory business in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies and optimize supply chain performance in alignment with Global procurement and with company objectives.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and ensure the on-time delivery of high-quality products and services.
  • Ensure procurement activities adhere to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies to make informed decisions and adapt procurement strategies as needed.
  • Oversee the procurement budget, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including global procurement, R&D, manufacturing, quality assurance, supply planning and finance teams.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of procurement experience within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices and supply chain management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to handle ambiguity, strategic thinking and decision making.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools, MSOffice, SAP.

Nice-to-haves

  • An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) are preferred.
