About the position

The Head of Program Purchasing / Purchasing Manager at HELLA is responsible for leading a diverse international team of purchasing professionals. This role focuses on employee management and strategic problem-solving to align purchasing activities with company objectives. The position requires the development and implementation of purchasing strategies while managing supplier relationships and contract negotiations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage company objectives related to supplier activities and cost initiatives.
  • Prepare and implement purchasing strategies for local and regional purchasing organizations.
  • Support the initiation and execution of contract negotiations.
  • Lead, develop, and assist department employees to foster a culture of trust and collaboration.
  • Drive department goals and anticipate future market conditions that could impact company objectives.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of purchasing leadership experience within the Automotive Industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Purchasing/Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a similar field.
  • Exhibited leadership qualities.
  • Strong experience and knowledge of market conditions and negotiation tactics.
  • Program purchasing experience and knowledge related to sourcing and supplier relations.
  • Strategic mindset to lead the department effectively.
