Our client is hiring for a Head of Project Coordination to lead their Houston office. Our client is a leader in the restoration and reconstruction space and has nearly 400 offices serving residential, institutional, and commercial customers and clients across the United States and Canada. For over 50 years, our client has served their communities in their time of need when facing disaster. While most of our client is broken into franchises, the corporate group that owns the Houston location is one of the largest in the country, including a 90,000 square foot office. They also oversee locations in Raleigh, Nashville, and Richmond, making this group one of the largest operators in the footprint. The Head of Project Coordination is a true people and organizational leader. As such, you'll need to bring deep experience and proven track record with the following: ensure compliance, scrutiny, and improvements within the critical processes of their business managing between divisions and oversight of a team of project coordinators ensuring best in class operations across customer service, field support, project finances, project coordination, and more. A successful track record leading people, including holding the team accountable to high standards and KPI's/OKR's, team development, and developing strong relationships and partnerships with stakeholders, TPA's, and vendors. Highly proficient in Excel…if you can't do a Vlookup or set up a pivot table, this isn't the right role for you. To be successful in the role, we are looking for someone with strong industry experience…in restoration, reconstruction, construction, senior construction project management, insurance, or experience leading a service-based business as a General Manager, Owner, or Senior Leader. The Head of Project Coordination will be a true change agent and much of the glue in the team's execution and success. You'll be leading, developing, growing, poking, prodding, speaking up, speaking out, and speaking in to many of the key aspects of the business projects and operations. This role will be influential in bridging gaps with insurance partners, TPA's, vendors, cross-department leaders, and customers. Going deeper - this role is all about the process…and process improvement, development, and change management. From customer intakes, scheduling, follow-ups, managing program tools, and more…this person will be hands on and neck deep in ensuring all systems are running smoothly, effectively, and profitably.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the project coordination team, ensuring compliance and improvements in critical business processes.
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders, TPA's, and vendors to ensure best-in-class operations.
  • Monitor project milestones, changes, and technical status reports, reporting daily updates to leadership.
  • Analyze compliance task achievement across divisions and improve SLA scores with clients.
  • Respond to escalated team issues that may impede project delivery and coordinate solution implementation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with TPAs and homeowners, ensuring effective communication and service delivery.
  • Develop and implement KPIs and SLAs to measure team performance and project success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Strong industry experience in restoration, reconstruction, construction, or senior construction project management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (Vlookup and pivot tables).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with professional phone etiquette.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience leading a service-based business as a General Manager, Owner, or Senior Leader.
  • Experience in the insurance industry.
