About the position

The Head of Scale AI Program at Vanguard is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing a team of advanced data analysts. This position focuses on managing strategic data projects that enhance business intelligence and data analytics capabilities, particularly in the context of improving client experiences through advanced analytics and emerging technologies like GenAI. The role requires strong technical leadership, collaboration across various departments, and the ability to drive productivity and cost reduction through data-driven insights.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of advanced data analysts responsible for strategic data projects.
• Support the evolution and strategy of Vanguard's business intelligence and data analytics capabilities.
• Identify, size, and prioritize opportunities to improve client engagement through analytics.
• Drive cost reduction by eliminating unnecessary calls and reducing advisor waste.
• Generate business support by fostering understanding of commercial decisions and client propositions.
• Connect with stakeholders to optimize client experiences end-to-end.
• Partner with Behavioral Scientists, UX Research, and Data Scientists to develop personalized intervention programs.
• Manage horizontal analytic capability implementation projects across Agile Scrum teams.
• Develop an experiment roadmap to drive a learning agenda.
• Hire, evaluate, and supervise team members, providing guidance and training as necessary.
• Participate in the development of the department budget and ensure operations within budgetary guidelines.
• Stay updated on industry trends and ensure scalable use of analytics tools.
• Lead Vanguard's analytics community and represent the company at external events.

Requirements

• Minimum of 12 years of experience in Advanced Analytics with exposure to GenAI technologies.
• At least 8 years of experience in Digital Channel Analytics (Web, Mobile, IVR, etc.).
• Undergraduate degree in quantitative fields such as Mathematics, Engineering, or Operations Research; graduate degree preferred.
• Strong partnership management skills and ability to advocate for analytics to business partners.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to influence diverse audiences.
• Ability to work within cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
• Proven track record of decision-making and problem-solving using advanced analytics methodologies.
• Strong quantitative orientation complemented by conceptual thinking skills.
