About the position

The Head of Security Operations and Incident Response at Zoom is responsible for leading a global team dedicated to safeguarding the company's systems and information. This role involves ensuring the team is equipped with the right capabilities and processes to effectively detect, defend against, and respond to cyber events. The position requires collaboration with various internal stakeholders to drive the vision and execution of security operations worldwide, focusing on proactive and reactive measures to counter potential threats.

Responsibilities

• Instilling and fostering a culture of excellence, integrity, and care within the team
• Establishing and enforcing SOC processes, procedures, and workflows for efficient incident management
• Providing leadership during and after security incidents, ensuring timely and effective action
• Partnering with legal and privacy professionals to assess and mitigate business, technical, and regulatory risk
• Leading initiatives to integrate the team's insights into Zoom's broader security strategy
• Leading the cyber threat intelligence (CTI) function to establish a threat intelligence-led approach
• Partnering with the Global Risk team to identify and assess emerging risks to Zoom's mission
• Utilizing CTI for effective Security Operations and Incident Response (IR)

Requirements

• Experience leading a Security Operations Center (SOC) or an Incident Response team in a global enterprise environment or fast-growing technology company
• Experience with complex Cloud and SaaS environments
• Solid foundation in cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying up to date with industry trends and best practices
• Experience leading large teams and managing managers
• Understanding of how different organizations in a mature security program work together
