About the position

The Head of Software Engineering will lead a global team of over 50 engineers to develop and enhance software solutions for a rapidly growing portfolio of 3D printing products. This role involves collaborating with engineering and product leadership to create a long-term roadmap for feature development, ensuring that customer insights drive the creation of best-in-class software solutions. The position requires a balance of strategic vision and hands-on technical problem-solving to deliver integrated products that enhance the customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a global team of 50+ engineers to develop software solutions for 3D printing products.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership across hardware and materials to build a world-class engineering team.
• Set a long-term roadmap for new feature development based on data-driven customer insights.
• Work cross-functionally with leaders across the business to deliver holistic products and features.
• Dive into complex technical problems while maintaining a big-picture perspective.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Proven leadership experience in driving successful teams and achieving business results.
• Experience tackling broad, complex technical challenges.
• Strong customer focus to ensure the right solutions are built for customers.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a hardware environment.
• Familiarity with graphics, game engines, CAD, geometry, and/or algorithm development.
