Team members have the unique opportunity to explore diverse business lines, gaining hands-on experience in various facets of finance, including accounting, audit, and supply chain management. In this role, you will be responsible for researching accounting issues, including reviewing contracts to determine proper accounting treatment. You will prepare and review annual, quarterly, and ad hoc technical accounting memos, and create models and analyses regarding technical accounting concepts, including revenue recognition and lease accounting. Additionally, you will monitor, assess, and implement new accounting pronouncements applicable to the company and transactions. This position requires a strong foundation in accounting analysis and the ability to read and understand US GAAP guidance, as well as knowledge of financial concepts beyond accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Research accounting issues, including reviewing contracts to determine proper accounting treatment.
  • Prepare and review annual, quarterly, and ad hoc technical accounting memos.
  • Create models and analyses regarding technical accounting concepts, including revenue recognition and lease accounting.
  • Monitor, assess, and implement new accounting pronouncements applicable to the company and transactions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
  • Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in accounting, including prior experience in public accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial statements required; strong interest in technical US GAAP, including a solid foundation in accounting analysis and ability to read and understand US GAAP guidance.
  • Knowledge of financial concepts beyond accounting.
  • Knowledge of internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work with multiple employee groups, including the executive level.
