About the position
The AWS Utility Computing (UC) team is seeking a Program Manager to support the development and management of various cloud services, including Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, and Productivity Apps. This role focuses on new region and Local Zone build activities, ensuring the delivery of essential services while managing risks and technical challenges. The ideal candidate will leverage their program management expertise to influence team decisions and drive secure, scalable solutions, all while maintaining a healthy work-life balance through a flexible schedule.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and management of AWS cloud services.
- Drive delivery of mandatory services in new regions.
- Assess risks and anticipate issues during project execution.
- Overcome technical obstacles and make trade-off decisions.
- Represent program status to senior leadership.
- Research and develop new region build methodologies.
Requirements
- 3+ years of technical product or program management experience.
- 2+ years of software development experience.
- 3+ years of project management experience, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.
- Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams.
