About the position

The Head, Payer, Access and Reimbursement Insights & Analytics is a leadership role responsible for guiding a team that generates payer and economic insights to inform strategic decisions regarding pricing, access, reimbursement, and distribution networks. This position requires a strong analytical background and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for biopharma leaders across various functions. The role supports the entire product lifecycle and fosters collaboration across teams to enhance insight generation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team to generate insights and analytics for payer, access, reimbursement, and distribution strategy decisions.
  • Collaborate with brand/portfolio teams and functional teams to support assets throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Facilitate connectivity across customer, patient, and payer teams to create integrated insights.
  • Identify services or offerings that could be productized based on repeated use by partners.
  • Support prioritization of inbound requests with Insights & Decision Science leads.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master of Science and/or MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in pharma/life sciences with a focus on analytics.
  • Strong data science acumen and experience applying analytics to payer and distribution network data.
  • Deep understanding of business strategy and operations in the US, with proficiency in at least two commercial domains.
  • Fluency in rebate, contracting, pricing modeling, economic propensity analyses, formulary & utilization analyses, and channel/distribution analyses.
  • Proven people management skills with experience in building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate analytics into meaningful insights.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in health economics and health policy.
  • Knowledge of health technology assessment (HTA).
  • Skills in negotiation and influencing.
  • Experience in market access strategy and pricing strategy.
