About the position

The Head Server/FOH Manager position at a family-owned breakfast and lunch establishment in West Sacramento is designed for an experienced leader in front-of-house operations. This role requires a minimum of three years of server experience and involves overseeing daily operations, staff management, and ensuring a high standard of service and cleanliness. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating activities between the front of house and kitchen, preparing staff schedules, and providing leadership and coaching to the team.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate operations, service, restaurant environment, and cleanliness standards.
• Coordinate activities between front of house and kitchen/dishwash areas.
• Prepare staff scheduling for front of house and some coordination with dishwasher scheduling.
• Provide leadership and coaching to management in areas of hiring, training, coaching and motivating employees in order to achieve goals and objectives.
• Placing ads for open front of house positions.
• Work at least 5 days a week, 6 days available if ambitious.
• Oversee doordash errors and help with disputes.
• Handle any issues that arise with the clover POS system and equipment and contacting customer service.
• Print specials for upcoming week/weekends.
• Prepare starting money bags for upcoming days. Make bank deposits when needed.
• Prepare weekly front inventory lists.
• Lead the design, implementation, and integration of new and existing training programs, operations manuals, continuing education, assessments, resources, processes, and initiatives that establish a brand wide culture of continuous learning.
• Monitor and post social media presence. (Facebook, Instagram, Yelp and any other)
• Shopping.
• Learning the kitchen processes.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of server experience.
• Experience or interest in taking a leadership role of the front staff.

Benefits

• Compensation based on experience, starting at least $20 per hour.
