About the position

The Family Services Coordinator at Upbring is responsible for providing direct support to Family Engagement Advocates and the ERSEA Specialist, ensuring compliance with Head Start Performance Standards. This role involves developing supportive relationships with various professionals, overseeing family support services, and managing the day-to-day responsibilities of the Family Services staff. The Coordinator plays a crucial role in the enrollment process and maintaining program standards, while embodying Upbring's core values of service, family, and advocacy for children.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement family support services and oversee the day-to-day responsibilities of the Family Services staff.
  • Manage internal and external programs and address schedule changes or personal concerns immediately.
  • Organize and facilitate weekly group staff meetings with Family Engagement Advocates and ERSEA Specialist.
  • Review 10% of all client case files quarterly and maintain a tracking system of closures and new clients.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on program inquiries and maintain a tracking system of potential enrollees.
  • Oversee the tracking system for program walk-in inquiries and phone inquiries.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and Child Care Minimum Standards.
  • Ensure the health and safety of each child in care and support their overall well-being.
  • Process new hire training and monitor Program Information Report (PIR) data.
  • Communicate with faculty regarding various issues and prepare reports for Regional and Program Directors.
  • Review family engagement advocates' documentation monthly to ensure medical documentation is received and case conferences occur.
  • Oversee ERSEA records, recruitment plans, and attendance action plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in social work, family and child services, psychology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working with diverse populations in an educational setting.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in social work, education, or a related field preferred.
  • 2 years supervisory experience preferred.
  • Basic Family Services Credential (preferred and required after employment).
  • Prior experience working in low-income diverse communities.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) based on service population and area.
  • Knowledge and experience with ERSEA Head Start Performance Standards.
