About The Position

The Head Start Teacher Assistant works closely with children aged three to five, supporting the classroom teacher in delivering high-quality educational experiences. This role involves active participation in planning and implementing learning activities that foster the development of young children.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Elementary Education with at least 18 hours in early childhood education.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a preschool classroom preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher in planning and implementing educational activities for children aged three to five.
• Support children's learning and development through engaging and interactive experiences.
• Monitor and document children's progress and behavior in the classroom.
• Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress.
