About the position

Newmont is seeking a forward-thinking Head of Tax Research Strategy, Global to lead its global tax function. This dynamic leadership role is ideal for a seasoned enterprise leader who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and has a proven ability to align tax strategies with business objectives to drive long-term value. The position is hybrid, based in Denver, Colorado, requiring 1-2 days per week in the office, with occasional domestic and international travel.

Responsibilities

• Shape global tax planning strategy to align with business objectives and maximize enterprise value.
• Drive innovation in international tax by applying advanced research and planning to optimize operations.
• Manage risk, ensure compliance, and identify opportunities for tax efficiency to support sustainable business growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and experts across multiple regions to contribute to enterprise-wide success.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., CPA, Master's) strongly preferred.
• Proven leadership experience in tax research, planning, and strategy within a multinational organization.
• Strong strategic and analytical mindset with advanced proficiency in US and international tax laws.
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and negotiation abilities.
