About The Position
Webster First Federal Credit Union (WFFCU) is currently seeking a Head Teller for our Fitchburg Branch located in Fitchburg, MA. The Head Teller will coordinate and supervise the activities of subordinate workers engaged in receiving and paying out money and keeping records of transactions in the credit union. This role is essential in supporting branch management and ensuring the efficient functioning of the teller line in accordance with established guidelines and policies. The Head Teller will assist with day-to-day operating policies and procedures, as well as branch openings and closings. In this position, the Head Teller will assign duties and work schedules to subordinate staff, ensuring that all transactions are processed accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities include receiving and processing checking and savings deposits and withdrawals, verifying cash and endorsements, and ensuring the validity of documents. The Head Teller will also be responsible for monitoring daily cash limits in teller cash drawers, conducting monthly surprise audits, and addressing member complaints. Exceptional member service is a key component of this role, as the Head Teller will greet members with enthusiasm and respond to inquiries with professionalism and courtesy. The Head Teller will also play a crucial role in training, educating, and coaching subordinate staff, as well as performing personnel functions as outlined in the WFFCU policy manual. This position requires a strong understanding of compliance with BSA and OFAC regulations, as well as the ability to promote the security and privacy of member and employee information. The Head Teller will actively participate in annual training on various regulations relevant to the position and may be assigned additional duties as needed.
