About the position
The Head Teller at Lake Michigan Credit Union is responsible for processing member transactions, including cash and check processes, deposits, transfers, and loan payments. This role also involves mentoring Teller team members, assisting members with account maintenance, and collaborating with the Branch Manager on vault responsibilities. The position emphasizes providing exceptional customer service and ensuring compliance with cash handling procedures.
Responsibilities
- Providing the LMCU's 5 star customer service promise to all members
- Performing financial transactions including deposits and withdrawals
- Processing loan payments and money orders
- Transferring funds per member requests
- Managing the branch vault
- Ensuring teller cash drawers are kept within authorized limits as requested by the Branch Manager
- Handling cash transactions
- Actively cross-selling or suggestive selling
- Making qualified referrals
- Training on the new account process
Requirements
- Three to five years of similar or related experience
- A high school degree or equivalent
