About the position
This position is a full-time, 260-day contract role responsible for managing the Women's Volleyball program at Iowa Lakes Community College. The role includes overseeing daily operations, organizing games and practices, recruiting student athletes, monitoring academic performance, promoting players to four-year institutions, and managing program budgets. Additionally, the position includes responsibilities as a Success Center Instructional Assistant, requiring approximately 20 hours of work per week.
Responsibilities
- Manage and organize the Women's Volleyball program including games and practices.
- Evaluate and recruit student athletes for the program.
- Monitor the academic performance of team members.
- Promote current players to four-year institutions.
- Manage budgets within the volleyball program.
- Work approximately 20 hours per week in the Estherville Success Center.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in education, English, mathematics, or science.
- Master's Degree preferred.
- Three years of experience as Head Volleyball Coach and/or as a college player.
- Student services experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
