About the position
The Head Women's Soccer Coach at Union Commonwealth University is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the women's soccer program, ensuring alignment with the university's philosophy and guidelines as well as those of the NAIA and Appalachian Athletic Conference. The role includes a focus on recruiting, retention, practice scheduling, budget management, travel planning, and fundraising activities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct all aspects of the women's soccer program according to university and conference guidelines.
- Meet established recruiting and retention goals.
- Schedule and conduct practices for the team.
- Oversee the program's budget and ensure financial accountability.
- Plan travel arrangements for the team.
- Engage in fundraising activities to support the program.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience in coaching soccer at the collegiate level or equivalent.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to develop and implement training programs.
- Knowledge of NCAA/NAIA rules and regulations.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in recruiting student-athletes.
- Familiarity with budget management and fundraising efforts.
