About the position

The Health Solutions Assistant Vice President at Aon Corporation is a leadership role responsible for managing client relationships and delivering health and welfare benefits strategies. This position involves acting as the primary contact for clients, overseeing project management, and ensuring the quality and timeliness of client deliverables. The role requires collaboration with the Account Executive and includes responsibilities such as client communication, project management, and business development.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary day-to-day contact for clients and oversee the client team and project management.
  • Collaborate with the client Account Executive to facilitate execution of overall strategy and special projects.
  • Delegate assignments to team members and conduct peer reviews of their work.
  • Perform analysis, draft client presentations, and participate in client meetings.
  • Manage client relationship, including project management, fee setting, and revenue projections.
  • Develop cross-selling opportunities with other Aon practices and ensure compliance with internal audit requirements.
  • Meet new business revenue goals and manage prospect/opportunity reporting.
  • Participate in task forces and special project teams as needed.
  • Conduct benefit plan design, rate analysis, RFP development, and carrier negotiations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • 8+ years of client-facing experience in the Health & Benefits discipline, preferably at an insurance company or brokerage.
  • Strong project management experience.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Broad business knowledge and perspective.
  • Business development experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with long-term strategic planning.
  • Familiarity with stewardship report preparation and benchmark analysis.
