About the position

The Health and Fitness Specialist at Chickasaw Youth Club is responsible for supporting the Health & Fitness program by performing essential job functions, engaging with the community, and promoting a healthy lifestyle among participants. This part-time role involves communication with team members and external organizations, maintaining cleanliness and safety within the facility, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates with team members, departments, guests, and management to share important information and follow protocols.
  • Attends trainings and meetings as directed.
  • Speaks frequently to schools, community organizations, churches, and youth groups to provide program information.
  • Assists with other departments and their programs and services.
  • Ensures cleanliness and enforces rules within the Chickasaw Youth Clubs.
  • Recruits participants for programs and activities.
  • Prepares reports as needed or requested, including weekly reports.
  • Encourages and motivates others to exercise and maintain a healthy lifestyle through example.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Provides first-class customer service, answering questions courteously and professionally.
  • Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities.
  • Works collaboratively to support productivity and safety in the work area.
  • Maintains general upkeep of the work area and ensures a safe environment.
  • Observes and addresses potential environmental hazards and risks.
  • Maintains professionalism and punctuality in meeting work schedule and attendance requirements.
  • Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards.
  • May provide break coverage for others as assigned and augment staff in other areas as needed.
  • Maintains knowledge of and follows all laws, rules, regulations, policies, and SOPs for assigned area.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
  • Standard Driver's License and ability to pass a general background check.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with MS Office Suite.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2 years of directly related experience.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR).
  • Class A Commercial Driver's License.
  • First Aid Certification.
  • Automated External Defibrillator certification.
  • Singapore Pre-School Accreditation Framework certification.
  • Water Safety Instructor certification.
