About the position

The Health and Human Resources Specialist, Senior serves as the primary contact for the West Virginia Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program (WVBCCSP). This role involves responding to inquiries from providers, providing technical assistance, and managing provider agreements. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining provider databases, tracking service data, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure effective program operations. Additionally, the position includes updating program documentation and participating in leadership teams to enhance program policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the point of contact for the WVBCCSP and respond to inquiries from providers.
  • Provide technical assistance and make referrals to program staff as appropriate.
  • Prepare and maintain provider agreements for the WVBCCSP, verifying certification information and obtaining necessary signatures.
  • Update provider contact information, agreements, forms, policies, and procedures as per current guidelines.
  • Maintain provider database and electronic/paper files.
  • Evaluate potential provider issues identified by professional staff.
  • Track, monitor, and compile fee-for-service data to meet federal grant match requirements.
  • Collaborate with agencies, individuals, and providers to promote successful partnerships.
  • Participate in program/partner leadership teams to provide input on policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and update policy and procedures manuals and training documents.
  • Provide program updates to participating providers and partners as needed.
  • Assist in grant writing, program reports, and information dissemination.
  • Attend coalition and partnership meetings as assigned by the program director.
  • Plan and schedule program meetings and activities in collaboration with the program director.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university.
  • Four years of full-time, equivalent part-time paid or volunteer experience in a related technical or program area.
  • Post-graduate education in a related field may substitute for required experience on a year-for-year basis.
