About the position

The Health and Human Resources Specialist, Senior position within the Office of Maternal Child & Family Health is a critical role focused on addressing workforce shortages and improving access to oral health care in West Virginia. This position requires close coordination with the State Dental Director, the West Virginia University School of Dentistry, and various dental hygiene schools. The incumbent will be responsible for the coordination of oral health workforce activities as outlined in the State Oral Health Plan. This includes performing statewide problem resolution in the delivery of services and providing consultative services and monitoring within the oral health workforce program functional area. The role demands a comprehensive understanding of the organizational functions and policies of local workforce investment boards and councils. The incumbent must possess knowledge of current socioeconomic and demographic factors that impact workforce development, as well as trends in dental workforce development. Additionally, the position requires familiarity with state, federal, and community resources available for workforce development initiatives. The ability to comprehend and interpret relevant state and federal laws is essential, as is the capacity to gather, organize, and evaluate a variety of facts to inform programming decisions. This is a full-time permanent position located in Kanawha County, WV, with a salary range of $35,994.00 to $66,589.00 annually. Responsibilities

Requirements
