About the position

The Senior Health and Human Resources Specialist will coordinate oral health workforce activities in West Virginia, working closely with the State Dental Director and educational institutions. This role involves problem resolution in service delivery, providing consultative services, and monitoring the oral health workforce program. The incumbent will leverage knowledge of workforce investment boards, socioeconomic factors, and dental workforce trends to enhance workforce development initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate oral health workforce activities of the State Oral Health Plan.
• Perform statewide problem resolution in the delivery of services.
• Provide statewide consultative services and monitoring in the oral health workforce program.
• Gather, organize, and evaluate facts for programming decisions.
• Comprehend and interpret state and federal laws related to the program area.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university.
• Four years of full-time, equivalent part-time paid or volunteer experience in a related technical or program area.
• Post-graduate education may substitute for required experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Three years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in the Health and Human Resources series may substitute for required training and experience.
