About the position

The Sales Operations role at Cigna Healthcare involves providing advanced professional input to complex assignments and projects aimed at improving the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the sales force. This position supports multi-functional sales operations, resolves inquiries, conducts research, and fulfills requests for sales materials. The role may also involve leading projects, supporting junior professionals, and utilizing in-depth knowledge to develop models and monitor trends within Sales Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Support output of a key discipline within U3000 Health Engagement Organization
  • Focus on achievement of assigned goals and support in achieving functional goals
  • Inform direct managers and teams to address resource and operational needs
  • Focus on short-term outputs and other work areas as assigned
  • Main contributor to business strategy by understanding market benefit offerings to ensure benefit education success to clients and customers in group settings
  • Self-manage assignments and schedule event times
  • Demonstrate in-depth understanding of key Cigna plan benefits, ancillary programs, and initiatives
  • Work with assigned Cigna clients during pre-effective timeline to coordinate tailored education events
  • Identify customer education opportunities to drive maximum utilization of available resources
  • Lead and deliver virtual and/or onsite awareness and education presentations
  • Coordinate with local Health Engagement team to ensure needs are met and potential problems are averted
  • Provide information to Cigna client(s) on the use of available steerage resources
  • Keep account partners informed about account status and opportunities for expanded business
  • Follow established guidelines and procedures of benefit education events
  • Maintain current knowledge in all Cigna products, programs, and tactics
  • Refer customer service inquiries to appropriate service organization partners
  • Coordinate, track, and update event meetings, including attendance, via data entry system (Salesforce.com)
  • Support local market community events as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in education, marketing, business, or related field
  • 1-2 years experience in benefit education/presentation and event deployment/support
  • Current and active Health & Life License preferred
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Programs (PowerPoint, Word), CRM system (Salesforce.com), and virtual learning platforms (Web Ex Meetings)
  • Influential sales experience preferred
  • Proven ability to excel in heavily matrixed organization and expeditious sales cycles
  • Ability to identify opportunities and support cross-sell opportunities with sales/account management teams
  • Ability to travel to local/remote trainings/meetings as assigned (50%-75% travel)
