About the position

The Health & Benefits Account Manager position at an independent insurance agency involves managing health insurance renewals and providing support for individual and small group health insurance policies. This role is currently temporary but has the potential to transition into a permanent position. The manager will work remotely and handle various insurance carriers, focusing primarily on clients in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey.

Responsibilities

  • Handle the book of health insurance renewals.
  • Manage mostly current renewals and some new clients for individual and small group health insurance.
  • Quote, present, and issue health insurance policies.
  • Handle the quoting and sale of travel insurance.
  • Assist with life insurance quoting, applications, and issuance.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in health insurance.
  • Life & Health Licensed.
  • EPIC experience preferred.

Benefits

  • Salary up to $90,000/year.
  • Potential for permanent role with benefits after transition.
