Responsibilities

• Process eligibility applications and determine eligibility for the NJ FamilyCare program.
• Enter eligibility information into a web-based computer system.
• Follow up with beneficiaries through correspondence and file updates.
• Review renewal information and verify data consistency with imaged documents.
• Identify and request missing information notices.
• Document missing information in the web-based system.
• Prepare correspondence for missing information as appropriate.
• Make outbound calls to obtain, clarify, or validate information.
• Verify information provided by beneficiaries and investigate discrepancies.
• Report technical problems with equipment or systems to the supervisor.
• Refer potentially eligible beneficiaries for Medicaid to DMAHS.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree preferred.
• Two years of customer service experience in a healthcare field preferred.
• Experience working with detailed data and following defined procedures.
• Experience in the determination of beneficiary eligibility for public assistance is desired.
