About the position

The Health Care Provider Account Executive (HCPAE) is a field-based sales role responsible for growing current business and securing new profitable business in laboratory and diagnostics sales. This position focuses on building relationships with healthcare providers in Iowa and Central Illinois, driving sales growth, and providing support to new accounts. The role emphasizes strategic planning, customer relationship management, and effective use of sales tools to achieve monthly sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Grow current business and target new profitable business in laboratory/diagnostics sales.
  • Build relationships with healthcare providers to drive new sales growth.
  • Drive sales through pre-call planning, post-call analysis, and consistent follow-up.
  • Onboard new customers and provide overall support and expertise to new accounts.
  • Increase discretionary business through insurance access.
  • Partner with Physician Account Manager on complex issues requiring face-to-face service.
  • Provide immediate support for less complex issues for targets/prospects.
  • Leverage tools and resources including data, SFDC, and marketing resources.
  • Maintain knowledge of all connectivity products such as Quanum, e-orders, and e-prescribe.
  • Prepare and present proposals and bids.
  • Accurately forecast monthly and quarterly sales and manage pipeline via Salesforce.com.
  • Perform administrative responsibilities including expense reports and sales reports.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in sales with account ownership.
  • Strong selling skills and ability to grow new business.
  • Ability to develop and sustain strong customer relationships.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Solid PC skills including Microsoft Software.
  • Knowledge of the Healthcare Industry and general economics of business.
  • Hunter mentality is a must!
  • Candidate must have residency in close proximity to territory.
  • A valid driver's license and a motor vehicle record in good standing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in healthcare sales or related fields.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com or similar CRM platforms.
