As a Health Communications Specialist at the Department of Health and Human Services, you will play a crucial role in promoting public health and enhancing health outcomes through effective communication strategies. Your primary responsibilities will include planning, applying, and evaluating various communication science and marketing techniques to achieve optimal program results. You will guide the development, testing, and dissemination of scientific information and audience-based products, tools, and messages across multiple formats, including written, electronic, and audiovisual forms. In this position, you will conduct and manage audience research and program evaluation activities to inform health communication and marketing efforts. You will gather data and develop a variety of products such as fact sheets, program briefings, FAQs, program summaries, web pages, and program-in-briefs. Collaboration will be key, as you will coordinate with others on health media production, risk communication activities, marketing campaigns, and publications. Additionally, you will contribute to the management and oversight of state, regional, or national public health communication and marketing projects and campaigns, ensuring that they align with the agency's goals and objectives.
