About the position

Stefanini Group is seeking an experienced, bilingual Health Content Editor fluent in both Spanish and English to support the development of consumer health content. This role is crucial in leading the creation of Spanish consumer health content and involves participating in a deadline-driven, cross-functional content development process. The primary goal is to deliver a variety of content types that inform and engage patient and consumer audiences about specific health conditions and topics. The assignments will range from content collections to premium multimedia experiences, ensuring that the content is accurate, high quality, and adheres to the client's style guide. The Health Content Editor will be responsible for managing freelance writers, ensuring content accuracy, quality, and clarity, and communicating effectively with project managers, editorial, medical review, and design stakeholders. This position requires prioritizing aggressive deadlines while maintaining a high standard of work. The editor will also play a leading role in scaling original and translated Spanish content offerings. Candidates should possess strong communication and critical thinking skills, be detail-oriented, and be able to work effectively in a virtual work environment. An essential skill for this position is the ability to translate complex medical information into plain language in both English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Managing development, quality control, and timely delivery of core and funded content assignments in both English and Spanish
• Ensuring content is accurate, high quality, and adherent to client's style guide
• Facilitating editorial workflows using custom CMS and project management tools
• Managing and editing assignments delegated to freelance writers
• Collaborating with editorial, publishing, and medical review stakeholders to develop, publish, and optimize content efficiently and effectively
• Serving as topline editor for Spanish content quality assurance, and leading development of Spanish content operations and style guide

Requirements

• Ability to translate complex medical information into plain language (in both English and Spanish)
• 3-5 years' experience creating digital health and medical content for Spanish- and English-speaking consumer audiences
• Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related discipline
