About the position

The Health Equity Outreach Program Manager at Mary Bridge Children's Hospital is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and monitoring diversity, equity, and inclusion programs that enhance patient care and organizational development. This role focuses on building relationships with community partners and staff to address health disparities and improve access to services for disadvantaged communities, ethnic minorities, LGBTQ individuals, and local tribes.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and monitor diversity, equity, and inclusion programs related to patient care and organizational development.
  • Cultivate and sustain relationships with community partners and MHS staff/leaders representing diverse populations.
  • Identify unmet health needs and barriers to care to increase community awareness and access to services.
  • Manage health equity programming and provide cultural competency education to staff.
  • Develop and implement community health projects/events that address health disparities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Three years of experience working with diverse community groups related to health and wellness.
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating community programs.
  • Experience in developing relationships with diverse populations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Three years of experience working in equity/diversity/inclusion fields in healthcare settings preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred.
