The Health Equity Program Manager at Children's Hospital Colorado is a key role focused on promoting diversity, health equity, and inclusion within the organization and the broader community. This position is responsible for leading initiatives that address health disparities, providing training and resources, and measuring the effectiveness of health equity programs in alignment with the hospital's mission and values. The role requires collaboration across various departments and community partners to enhance health outcomes for patients and families.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the development, design, and implementation of health equity programs based on community health needs assessments.
  • Acts as a technical expert and spokesperson for the program, providing consultative guidance to staff and providers.
  • Participates in the development of program-specific strategic plans and performance metrics related to diversity and health equity outcomes.
  • Manages overall program risk, conducting risk and cost/benefit analyses.
  • Develops and coordinates a community-based network to address health disparities identified by assessments.
  • Builds and manages partnerships with external organizations to support diversity and health equity efforts.
  • Coordinates organization-wide and community events promoting diversity and inclusion.
  • Utilizes data and analytics to identify health and social disparities.
  • Serves as a liaison between the program, department, and community partners, maintaining program policies and procedures.
  • May supervise assigned program team members or contractors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Education, Social Sciences, Public Administration, Management, Public Health Administration, Health Care Management, Human Resources, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Five years of experience developing and implementing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and/or public health programs.
  • Professional experience in a related field may substitute for the bachelor's degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
