What the day will look like Manage month end close process for Non-Core Health Solutions including prepare and review journal entries in Workday ensuring compliance with Aon's Accounting Policies Complete and review required monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations within required timetable Perform Large Contract reviews to ensure revenue is recorded in the right period and with appropriate support Perform monthly analysis over balance sheet variances Develop and maintain a strong partnership with the FP&A and Operations leadership for Non-Core Health Solution Lines to collaborate and problem solve on financial issues, assist in interpretation and application of accounting policies, and ensure accountability for all aspects of financial control Assist Revenue Manager with External and Internal Audit to resolve any audit queries for Aon's audit Liaise with the offshore teams to drive efficiency and collaboration on financial reporting, analysis that support Aon's strategic objectives Drive innovation and process improvements Manage ad hoc special projects Skills and experience that will lead to success Bachelor's degree in Accounting 2-5 years previous accounting experience (public company and/or service industry preferred) Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ability to analyze and resolve foundational technical accounting issues Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, intermediate functions) Strong written and oral communication skills Ability to partner and collaborate with Finance associates across the globe and within various finance disciplines Appreciation of Sarbanes Oxley requirements Ambitious, strong team player, willing to own responsibilities and take initiative Working knowledge of Workday PSA and Workday GL is a plus How we support our colleagues In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage a diverse workforce. Pay Transparency Laws: The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $75,000 - $90,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Chicago, Illinois The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
