About the position

The Senior Health & Human Resources Specialist for the Bureau for Behavioral Health is responsible for advanced administrative and professional work in evaluating and organizing the behavioral provider network. This role involves planning, policy development, monitoring, and administration of behavioral health operations, requiring strong persuasive skills to manage controversial issues. The specialist will lead staff in implementing program regulations, facilitate stakeholder relationships, and oversee grant-funded activities, ensuring compliance and effectiveness in service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and organize the behavioral provider network funded by the Bureau for Behavioral Health (BBH).
• Plan, develop policies, and monitor the operational components of behavioral health services.
• Manage complex administrative tasks and lead Bureau staff in program regulation implementation.
• Facilitate stakeholder relationships and increase awareness of best practices in behavioral health.
• Collaborate on the development of grant-funded programs and external funding solicitation models.
• Oversee and monitor grant-funded activities and conduct evaluations of BBH funded centers and external organizations.
• Participate in state and federal level external reviews related to behavioral health programs.
• Provide assistance to department staff and provider agencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university.
• Four years of full-time, equivalent part-time paid or volunteer experience in a related technical or program area.
• Post-graduate education may substitute for required experience on a year-for-year basis.
