About the position

The Health Informatics Data Analyst at Vivent Health plays a crucial role in implementing and optimizing an analytics pipeline, along with the necessary reporting and data visualization tools to support various operations including Clinical, Quality, Prevention, Research, and Social Services. This position is integral to understanding the data landscape at Vivent Health and aligning it with stakeholder and business requirements to provide accurate, insightful, and actionable information. By doing so, the analyst directly supports the holistic patient-centric care model that Vivent Health is known for. In this role, the Health Informatics Data Analyst is responsible for transforming data into knowledge. This involves organizing and managing large and varied datasets from disparate sources, analyzing these datasets to optimize operations, and effectively communicating findings through data visualization and reporting techniques to stakeholders and organizational leadership. The essential functions of this position include partnering with internal stakeholders and business partners to gather requirements, understanding technical capabilities, and identifying solutions that enhance data-driven decision-making. The analyst will also be tasked with developing, testing, and debugging an analytics pipeline to query, compile, organize, and integrate healthcare data from various sources, including an enterprise electronic health record (Epic Systems) and an HIV care management application (Provide Enterprise). This role requires a strong understanding of data storage and sharing methods, as well as the ability to develop reports and presentations that convey analytic insights in a clear and accessible manner. Additionally, the analyst will validate solutions prior to production deployment and support these solutions post-deployment, utilizing feedback to optimize delivered solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Partnering with internal stakeholders, business partners, and vendors to gather requirements and identify solutions.
  • Understanding, configuring, and managing the tools and processes for data extraction and transformation.
  • Communicating analytic insights to clinical and operational stakeholders and leaders in an accessible manner.
  • Developing, testing, and debugging an analytics pipeline to query and integrate healthcare data from disparate sources.
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining the applications and processes that comprise the analytics pipeline.
  • Understanding data storage and sharing methods.
  • Developing reports and presentations.
  • Validating solutions prior to production deployment.
  • Supporting solutions following production deployment, utilizing feedback to optimize delivered solutions.
  • Performing all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Healthcare, Informatics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of database structures and design.
  • Proficiency with one or more database programming and scripting languages, including SQL, R, and Python.
  • Experience with one or more Analytics and Business Intelligence platforms, such as Tableau, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, or Power BI.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
