About the position
The Health Information Operations Supervisor at Datavant is responsible for overseeing client/customer service and acting as a knowledge expert for the Health Information Services (HIS) staff. This role emphasizes frontline people management, training, and ensuring compliance with established guidelines. The supervisor will maintain workflow and productivity, handle escalated situations, and foster a positive work environment while supporting the Health Information Operations Manager. This hybrid position requires residency in the Saint Louis, MO area.
Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and motivate a growing team.
- Communicate and collaborate with leadership on issues, opportunities, or challenges.
- Lead the Audit Team that receives requests from payors and provide solutions to clients and leadership.
- Manage requests from the Risk Management Team of the client.
- Oversee escalation calls from centralized call centers.
- Participate in project teams and committees to advance operational strategies and initiatives.
- Coordinate with location/client management on complex issues while building strong relationships.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of Health Information related experience.
- Well-versed with HIPAA standards.
- Ability to support clients and team members both onsite and remotely.
- Strong presentation skills to leadership, clients, and team members via video or in person.
- Detail and quality-oriented regarding accurate and compliant information for medical records.
- Proficient in Power BI and MS Office.
Nice-to-haves
- EMR experience with EPIC or Cerner.
- Previous production/metric-based work experience.
- Experience in team building and elevating individuals' careers.
