About the position

The Health Program Analyst (Junior Data Manager) at Rutgers University is responsible for off-site study coordination and data management for infectious disease protocols at international sites. This role involves developing case report forms, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with investigators and staff to facilitate data collection and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Perform off-site study coordination and data management of protocols at international sites.
  • Develop REDCap case report forms (CRFs) consistent with approved protocols to capture clinical and laboratory data.
  • Facilitate and coordinate orientation and training for volunteers/staff on instruments administration and data-gathering software.
  • Maintain and manage research databases using SAS software.
  • Work with statisticians to create appropriate databases for data analysis.
  • Monitor data quality per standard operating procedures for each protocol with minimal supervision.
  • Coordinate QA/QC with international on-site staff and Rutgers Study Coordinators.
  • Summarize and analyze data and assist in composing progress reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Health with one year of data management experience or a Master's Degree in Public Health with research database experience.
  • Intermediate proficiency with statistical packages (SAS, R, MS Excel, MS Access, etc.).
