About the position

The Health Program Analyst (Junior Data Manager) at Rutgers University is responsible for off-site study coordination and data management of clinical research protocols, particularly those positioned at international sites. This role involves developing case report forms, ensuring data quality, and performing quality assurance audits to prepare data for analysis. The Junior Data Manager will collaborate with investigators and staff to maintain research databases and summarize data for progress reports, contributing to the overall goal of improving human health through research.

Responsibilities

• Perform off-site study coordination and data management of clinical research protocols.
• Develop REDCap case report forms consistent with approved protocols to capture clinical and laboratory data.
• Facilitate and coordinate orientation and training for volunteers/staff on data-gathering software and instruments administration.
• Maintain and manage research databases using SAS software.
• Monitor data quality per standard operating procedures for each protocol with minimal supervision.
• Coordinate QA/QC with international on-site staff and Rutgers Study Coordinators.
• Summarize and analyze data for progress reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Public Health with one (1) year of data management experience or a Master's Degree in Public Health with research database experience.
• Intermediate proficiency with statistical packages (SAS, R, MS Excel, MS Access, etc.).
• Good understanding of clinical research components including data collection, human subjects protection, and quality assurance.
