About the position
The Health Psychologist in Obesity Medicine at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide innovative care for patients struggling with obesity. This role includes telemedicine and on-site responsibilities, focusing on psychological evaluations and interdisciplinary care, while also offering opportunities for teaching and mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Develop and provide expert services for patients struggling with obesity in the Weight and Wellness Centers.
- Conduct pre and post bariatric surgery psychological evaluations.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team-based care.
- Teach and supervise psychology interns, post-doctoral fellows, and medical trainees.
- Collaborate in scholarly activities.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology from an accredited program.
- Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a psychologist in New Hampshire.
- Experience in obesity medicine or related fields is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with telemedicine practices.
