About the position

St. Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute (SLBMI) is seeking Licensed Professional Counselors and Licensed Clinical Social Workers to join their Health Psychology Program. This role involves providing psychotherapy for various medical conditions and health-related issues, with a focus on the interaction between physical, psychological, and social factors in health management. Clinicians will have the opportunity to work both onsite and remotely, with a flexible schedule and support from a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide psychotherapy for the treatment of a wide variety of medical conditions and health-related issues.
  • Conduct traditional individual outpatient therapy and run outpatient groups related to Health Psychology.
  • Tailor caseload according to individual expertise and competencies.
  • Participate in case consultation, continuing education, and program development with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Manage administrative and operational tasks with support from the institute.

Requirements

  • Master's or doctoral degree in a clinical mental health field (e.g., MSW, Professional Counselor, Ph.D).
  • Fully licensed by the State of Missouri to practice independently.
  • Credentialed-eligible for managed care panels in Missouri.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Health Psychology or related fields.
  • Additional subspecialty interests and training in behavioral health conditions.
