About the position
The Health, Safety and Environment Risk Support Practitioner at Cummins Inc. is responsible for implementing health, safety, and environmental programs to meet regional objectives. This role involves collaboration with global teams to enhance policies and procedures, coaching sites on hazard and risk controls, and solving complex health and safety issues. The practitioner will also lead audits, mentor local resources, support incident investigations, and manage regional suppliers to improve program effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support to regional sites for the implementation of health, safety, and environmental programs.
- Collaborate with global teams to drive continuous improvement in policies and procedures.
- Coach sites in the implementation of hazard and risk controls through procedures and education.
- Solve non-routine health, safety, and sustainability problems while standardizing best practices.
- Lead or participate in regional audits to ensure compliance and preparedness.
- Mentor local site health, safety, and environmental resources for professional development.
- Support local incident investigations to meet reporting obligations.
- Manage and evaluate regional health, safety, and environmental suppliers and consultants.
- Execute health, safety, and environmental communication objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or university equivalent required.
- Significant relevant HSE experience required (5-7 years).
- Previous experience working across various countries within the region preferred.
- Progress toward professional certification preferred.
