About the position
The Health, Safety, Security & Environmental Compliance (HSSE) Manager at JLL will play a crucial role in providing HSSE leadership and advisory services for a regional portfolio within the Financial Services Vertical. This remote position, preferably located in Charlotte, NC, involves managing HSSE requirements, developing training programs, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The HSSE Manager will be the primary contact for HSSE activities and will work closely with the account's HSSE Director to enhance the HSSE culture and practices.
Responsibilities
- Become the primary point of contact for HSSE requirements and activities for a regional portfolio of the account.
- Communicate HSSE needs and results to the Account's HSSE Director.
- Maintain documentation describing the HSSE program and records required by JLL, regulation, and the client.
- Play a lead role in the continued development and refinement of JLL's HSSE culture and training programs on the account.
- Develop/maintain the account training matrix; manage and assign the online training requirements; and provide training/presentations as needed.
- Ensure that accidents, injuries, near misses/good catches, and other events are captured, and the data is managed and reported.
- Be the Account's Administrator for the JLL Incident Management System.
- Participate with facilities to lead or support investigations of HSSE events and prepare communications to share lessons learned.
- Address Indoor Air Quality complaints.
- Assist in the assurance of compliance with all HSSE Sections of the Operational Compliance Program (OCP).
- Support environmental compliance efforts as specified in the JLL/client Master Service Agreement (MSA)/Statement of Work (SOW).
- Maintain the Client's Environmental Management System.
- Manage environmental programs such as Asbestos, Chemical Inventory Management/Reporting, Refrigerant Management, Stormwater/Wastewater/Wetlands, Air Emissions, Storage Tanks, Spill Prevention, Regulated Waste, Transactional Due Diligence, Site Remediation, and Trip Reduction Ordinances.
- Support the HSE Americas team in rolling out new compliance and best management practices programs across the account.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in safety management, industrial hygiene, environmental science, engineering or relevant field.
- 5+ years of experience in HSSE management.
- Relevant professional certification(s) are a plus.
- Proven record of success with project management skills for balancing multi-site activities.
- Broad based knowledge of Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health regulations.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- A proven record of making presentations and providing effective training.
- Ability to effectively and cooperatively interface with peers, colleagues and clients.
- Analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
