About the position
The University of California, Davis is seeking a full- or part-time faculty member for the position of Health Sciences Assistant/Associate/Full Clinical Professor in the Division of Hospital Medicine. This role involves providing direct patient care, engaging in teaching, and participating in scholarly work and university service. Faculty members are expected to work collaboratively with a diverse group of hospitalists and contribute to the education of medical students, residents, and fellows.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the inpatient clinical setting.
- Teach first and second year medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Engage in scholarly or creative work.
- Participate in university and public service activities.
- Attend and participate in scheduled meetings and CME activities.
Requirements
- Experience teaching medical students at the director level (course director or instructor-of-record).
- Demonstrated professional competence in hospital medicine.
- Active engagement in creative and scholarly work.
