About the position

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior scientist responsible for the oversight of the scientific peer review of all research grants and cooperative agreements for NCIPC.
  • Recruit and provide top scientific and technical experts for independent evaluation of scientific information related to grant applications.
  • Establish and implement internal procedures for the Extramural Research Program Office's responsibilities.
  • Serve as a senior adviser in formulating and administering plans and policies to meet critical program objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree in a field related to medical, health sciences, or allied sciences.
  • At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level, including conducting, coordinating, planning, implementing, and evaluating extramural scientific investigations.
