About the position

The position involves processing budget, medical, and administrative documents to ensure the efficient operation of health services within a correctional institution. The role requires maintaining records, liaising with community hospitals, and coordinating medical care for inmates, all while upholding the security of the institution. The incumbent will also assist with technical tasks related to medical procurement and serve as a point of contact for various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Process budget, medical, and administrative documents.
• Update, maintain, research, inventory, and file records.
• Prioritize assigned tasks and solicit feedback.
• Prepare and consolidate reports for two cost centers and monthly accruals.
• Assist with technical and analytical tasks involving complex medical material procurement.
• Serve as a liaison between the Financial Management Department and the Health Services Department.
• Coordinate with community hospitals and contract consultants regarding billing and scheduling of patient appointments.
• Manage medical information and care for inmates, including scheduling and arranging transportation for medical transfers.
• Maintain security of the institution as part of correctional responsibilities.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Education: GL-05 requires four years above high school; GL-06 requires specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in federal service.
• Experience in maintaining medical and financial records.
• Experience in preparing and processing medical and financial forms, documents, and reports.
