About the position

As a Software Engineer on the Platform Integration Team at Best Buy Health, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining integrations between various internal and external partner systems. This position focuses on uplifting and modernizing Best Buy Health systems to enhance customer support and service offerings, ensuring that customers can rely on their devices for urgent care needs. The role emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement in development operations, all while working remotely from a US-based location.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrations between various BBY Health internal and external partner systems.
• Participate in uplift and modernization efforts for Best Buy Health systems.
• Build scalable, well-tested, cloud-based web applications, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Design and implement new integrations while managing existing ones in collaboration with internal and external partners.
• Contribute to technical design, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
• Support production escalations and ensure the product engineering team meets key objectives.
• Work closely with Product Management to understand requirements and deliver outcomes that align with product vision and strategy.

Requirements

• 2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, engineering, or related field.

Nice-to-haves

• 4 years of software development experience using C#, .Net, MS SQL Server, REST API, Microservices.
• Experience developing across managed cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Experience developing containerized apps/services and messaging techniques.
• Exposure to working with highly scalable and distributed systems.
• Experience writing tests and testable code.
• Strong understanding of Software Security (e.g., oAuth, SingleSignOn/SAML, code scanning).
• Experience with Proof of Concept development, focusing on user needs and technical challenges.
• Familiarity with coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Experience using Azure DevOps, Confluence, Github, Jira, and related technologies.
